A team presentation on doing business in a country outside the United States, the focus is an in-depth understanding of another country, the business environment, and potential business opportunities, this project requires researching a non-us country, the team may choose an industry or a company on which to concentrate, the project applies the principles learned in this course to the real world. Foreign market analysis includes gathering, analyzing, and forecasting of foreign consumer demographics, channels, promotion, pricing, product design, labor and other input markets.
Analysis of the country’s economic, demographic, social, political, cultural, legal and competitive variables are essential to the project's success! Teams should be thinking about and working on this project throughout the course. For a successful project, teams should make a major effort to establish the reasons why their firm decided on this investment country and region as opposed to other countries that might have offered acceptable sites. Given this country or region of choice, the project should also provide recommendations on firm mode of entry, indicators of performance (short and long-term), markets, and strategic alliances if any.
