Question:
Evaluate how an unbalanced mix of employees can affect a company. Suppose you work in the Hr department of a large, well-established company. Recently, senior management conducted a survey examining multiple aspects of current and historic employee data. One of the outcomes of this survey was the formation of a typical employee profile. it was determined that a typical employee falls into one of two categories—the majority of employees are less than 35 years old with less than 5 years of work experience, or they are older than 60 years old and have over 30 years of work experience, very few employees fall in between the two extremes.
Write a report in which you analyze what the survey findings mean for the organization and develop a plan to address the impacts. Make sure to address the following:
• Analyze how this scenario affects the organization.
• Identify why this division may have occurred. Examine two explicitly different scenarios that may have led to this condition.
• Develop a plan to address the situation.
• Outline policies that you would put into place to keep the situation from happening again. Be sure that your plan and policies are based on current HR best practices.
