It is my belief that not all employees or persons need to encouraged or recognized, i for one don’t really care much about recognition as long as i know i put my heart into what i do I’m satisfied. On the other hand it is uplifting what some people do to encourage their staff, i recently attended a meeting at my kids school and was surprised to see the principal interact with the teachers and staff, during the meeting she made us see that the teaching of our kids is not only done by the teachers as for some students it started as they got in the bus, for others as soon as they walked thru the front desk, she made it a point to tell us and recognize all the staff since once we drop of our kids the teachers and staff are responsible for them in essence they become the caregivers. You could tell that the staff that was present felt good when she was recognizing them all in a subtle way. This was a far cry from my last employer were only the supervisor and upper management would take the credit.
