Respond to the following:
Consider the various timings and perspectives of evaluation. In design, there are a variety of questions and pieces of valuable information that we need to pursue. However, for particular types of design feedback, we want to be sure we're applying the proper approach to evaluation. Imagine you're designing some sort of product or solution. Tell us the basics about what it is, and what needs your team has observed that this will be addressing. Then, tell us how far along in product development you are.
Are you trying to get feedback on your earliest prototypes? Are you attempting to understand user navigation of extra features or new interfaces you're trying? Assemble a basic list of things that you need to learn about your design to continue with iterative development. Then, tell me what your approach to evaluation would be. Explain along the following points: Is this summative or formative evaluation? Why? Would this be better in an experimental or naturalistic setting? Why? What evaluation technique will you apply, and why? Based on what you pick, what are the important elements (i.e. your most important heuristics, points to ask CW questions, etc) for your design feedback?
