Software programs are becoming extremely complex to design, develop, and build. Many organizations either don’t have the in-house staff to accomplish the task (i.e., build) or they decide to focus on their core competencies and have someone else develop the software they need (i.e., buy). Moreover, building or acquiring a new information systems requires planned organizational change.

Identify an organization that is currently relying on a specific outdated or inefficient manual business process (e.g., patient registration), and explain how the process can be transformed, streamlined, or redesigned through one of the four types of IT-enabled change

Discuss whether the organization should insource (i.e., develop in-house), outsource offshore, or outsource domestically the development of the software to support the new and improved business process. Use examples to justify your response.
