Using Northouse's Leadership: Theory and Practice, plus other resources, write a 20 page (double-spaced) research paper in which you compare and contrast three leadership approaches described in the text. Before completing the entire assignment, you will write the first portion of the overall assignment only, which is to describe the three theories in 1-2 paragraphs only, where you explain the concepts of each leadership theory/approach.

Working individually, use your own words to describe each of the theories you choose. Each of these leadership approaches has been popular in the past century, yet how do they relate to one another? Are they virtually the same, or are there differences? In 1-2 paragraphs only explain the core concepts of each leadership approach. Then provide an integrated discussion and debate, comparing and contrasting the three theories or approaches that also relies on the best research on the theories. You must clearly articulate why each is different, or why they are not different. You must provide a clear argument for which one is the most effective approach of the three, also including research from strong academic sources that have assessed these theories on this basis. You must also include an example of a leader (current or a historical figure) that you admire, and explain why you believe they fit one of these theories of leadership. This example of the leader must be documented, researched and cited so that others can also research it. Finally, you must explain how you would implement your preferred approach in your work setting.This implementation must be specific, measurable, and with a clear plan of action with steps established and key performance indicators identified.
