The wind turbine considered has a rated power of 1 kW at rated wind speed of 10 m/s. The cut-in and cut-off wind speed is respectively at 5 m s¹ and 15 m s¹, and the efficiency from the cut-in to the cut-off speed can be taken to be constant. The annual wind statistics are listed in Table 1, which lists how many hours in an average year the wind has a given wind speed.
