1. Area Specialization. In this project, you will make yourself an "expert" in one specialized area of operations management. For example, you might chooseproject management.The project would involve learning about this subject from the literature available, perhaps visiting several industrial firms for first-hand discussions, and then reporting the findings and conclusions in a report.In grading this kind of report, the following guidelines will be used:

a.Has the student performed adequate research on this subject?

b.Is the research well documented?

c.Does the student fully comprehend this subject?

d.How well has the student explained this subject?

e.Are there parts of this subject that should have been covered and are not covered

2. Continuous Improvement Project at Your Company -You will be engaged in a operations managementproject within your own company.Just remember to structure it with major headings such as Introduction, Problem Topic, Findings, Conclusions and Recommendations. Be sure to document your references and include a bibliography....do not write in essay form....structure your report with major headings.

3. Personal Interview-This will require the student to conduct a formal interview with an individual(s) currently working in some form of operations management.
