1. As a real or simulated workplace activity, you must assist a team to work innovatively on two different occasions.

You will need to plan innovation on both occasions and work according to the project and organisations objectives. You must follow organisational policies and procedures at all times and conduct inclusive communications and team working. Your work should be documented according to the workplace recordkeeping requirements.

On each occasion, this will involve:

Identifying what the team must do

Determining the team dynamic and your relationship for working

Evaluate requirements and identify how the team works (including their team objectives)

Assist the team to identify innovation opportunities and working creatively

Help the team to improve how they work (as needed)

Identify and delegate team responsibilities, making sure the team work together during innovation activities, and team strengths and abilities are maximised

Identify and establish a suitable way to reward and stimulate innovative working

Use positive behaviors that support innovation

Create an environment that shares information, knowledge, and experience

Work with the team to discuss and support innovation, and to challenge and test ideas.

You must:

Encourage the team to contribute to innovation

Identify ways of working innovatively

Reflect on activities, feedback, and challenges to identity improvement options

Model open and respectful communications at all times

Contribute to the make-up and rules of the team(s).

At the end of each occasion of innovation, you must evaluate the ideas and work that has been done. A report should be created that documents the finding of both.

You should identify and include:

An outline of innovation requirements for both occasions

The criteria that you have developed to review innovation

The innovation successes and examples experienced

A reflection of the innovation and any implemented ideas

Feedback from your team(s) about the innovation project(s) and processes

Your assessment of this feedback and any improvements you would recommend.

You should present your report to two stakeholders and discuss the work you have done in a short meeting. You should raise any challenges that were found with innovative working. (There is no word count provided for your report, but it must cover what you found, be neatly presented, and accurate in spelling and grammar). Attach a copy of your report to your workbook.
