1. Assignment: Write an essay of one to two pages (250-500+ words) to look back on your progress in writing this quarter and explain why you have succeeded in EWRT 1A. This assignment will also give you the space to reflect on studenthood (what it has meant to be a student during this unique time) and how this time may have impacted you for this class and quarter. 2. Method: Review all the work you've done for the class. Give specific examples from these essays to show your improvements. B. Required Content: Discuss basics of what you have learned in EWRT 1A. This might include work on paragraph organization, use of description and/or examples, construction of better sentences, proofreading, writing process, peer editing, and so on. You may discuss both writing content and form in your paper. Include how your writing has improved as a result of what you have learned in this class. Remember to provide specific examples to show your main points including telling us why you have chosen the outside essay for the portfolio. Writing is learning. To demonstrate how this worked in your case, talk about your favorite book from the class, and explain how you were able to discuss and/or write about an important theme from the book during the class. Studenthood: feel free to talk about, but this is an option, how events in the real world, such as the coronavirus pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement for justice, may have impacted you as a student in this class and/or in your classes this quarter. 1.
