1. Create an entity relationship diagram for the conceptual design using UML notation. Tory is designing a manicured garden for a wild patch of earth on the eastern side of her estate. The garden will follow the layout of a traditional French garden in its formality, which means the total garden is being placed on a grid and broken down into areas. Each area in the garden has a row id, a column id, a length and a width. The combination of row id and column id uniquely identifies a garden area. The garden areas will contain statues. A statue has a height, width, depth, a base material and a description. A statue can be found in 0 to 1 garden areas. A garden area may contain 0 to many statues.
Each garden area will also contain 0 to many plants. A plant is found in 1 and only 1 garden area. A plant has a color. Each plant is associated with 1 and only 1 plant species. For each plant species, we track its unique scientific name, its common name, its typical height, its typical width, minimum temperature requirements, if it is sun loving, and if it is drought resistant. Each plant species is associated with 0 to many plants. A plant species can be categorized with a plant genre, the values for a plant genre are: tree, shrub, flower, vine, moss, and fern. The plants that are shrubs can be manicured into a shape. The values for the shape name are: spherical, conical, spiral and animal. Each plant that is a shrub can be manicured into 0 to 1 geometric shape. Each geometric shape can be used to manicure 0 to many plants that are shrubs. Each shape can be artistically compatible with 1 to many shapes. The compatibility is measured by an index value that ranges from 1 to 5, where 1 represents low compatibility between the shapes and 5 represents high compatibility between the shapes.
