1) Design a programmable timer using 8253 and 8086. Interface 8253 at an address 0042H and write the following ALPs. The 8086 and 8253 run at 6 MHz and 1.4 MHz respectively. (i) To generate a square wave of period 1.8 ms. (ii) To generate the pulse of 2 kHz for counting. 2) Develop a program to initialise 8251 in synchronous mode with odd parity, single SYNCH character, 7- bit data character. Then receive FFH bytes of data from a remote terminal and store it in the memory at address 5000H:3000H. 3) Explain the architecture of 8087.
