1. In early iterations, Facebook required users to enter large volumes of text. This experience was optimized for the desktop user interface. There were multiple advantages that came with the transition to a mobile app driven experience for Facebook beyond the prospects for retargeted mobile advertisements: namely the reduction of errors in the underlying content. Over time, the quality of the user experience on Facebook has suffered, prompting Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook to focus on improving the quality of time spent on the platform, even if this means decreasing the total quantity of time on Facebook. So far this effort has involved a reduction in the distribution of publisher content (such as newspapers) and some efforts like polls to increase user content production.

Evaluate Facebooks current solution.

a. The solution will not work the psychological needs of the users have changed because of social media, Facebooks bad choices from 2008-2016 have made it a complicated platform, it wont be simple again.

b. The solution will not work Facebook needs to revert to the older user interface. Typing is more intimate than swiping or clicking. This option will allow users to express more opinions which will refresh the content base of the product.

c. The solution will work the primary complaint users have is that the content distributed on the platform was not relevant or was controversial. Newspaper articles were blocking users from expressing their feelings.
