(1) It should be a word problem that clearly uses concepts we have covered in our Calculus | course. (2) It should relate to a topic that either interests you or is related to your professional / career goal(s). (3) The statement of the problem should not come from a textbook (eg, do not copy a word problem from a Calculus textbook). (4) You can use a science, math, engineering, technology, or other type of literature (not a textbook) to provide you with ideas for a topic. If you use other sources (beyond your own primary knowledge) you should cite these sources using a format such as APAr(or your preferred citation format). (5) Your grade will be based on the following: (a) Alignment with concepts in Calculus [; (b) Accuracy of the solution provided; (c) Relevance to a field or discipline; and (d) Originality (eg, not from a Calculus textbook). The goal of this mini-project is to provide insight into the utility and beauty of Calculus in a variety of different areas. An approximate length of these mini- project is 2-3 pages. The statement of the problem and solution might only be 1 page... Narrative around a brief background or description of how this applies to your interest, your field, your career, your goals etc... can be another 1-2 pages. An example was provided "Focus on Calculus" which only included the statement of the problem (two examples are attached), which is why it's only 1 page (and not 2-3 pages). An introduction to the problem and why it was selected along with the solution could readily take another 1-2 pages
