1. Obtain a regularly-shaped solid (cube or rectangular solid). Record the ID of the solid shape. 2. Record your observations of the solid (colot, texture, etc.) 3. Weigh and record the mass of the solid to 0.01g 4. Use the caliper to measure its dimensions and determine its volume by calculation. (volume of cube (or a rectangular solid) =lwh ). Be aware that the caliper measures in mm, you need to report your data in cm3 therefore each dimension measurement must be converted to centimeters by moving the decimal place one space to the left. Note: 1cm=10mm 3. Determine the density of the solid from the measured mass and calculated volume
