1. Operational changes, including hours available, delivery or curbside pickup, social distancing, touchless pay, training of employees, sanitation and safety, online sales, Technology LG, PM

Hours may have to change due to rising costs and the ability to pay staff/overhead. Delivery may be more difficult during these times as the cost of everything is higher, however offering delivery only during peak hours like weekends or weekday lunch may help capitalize sales while not creating an everyday burden on the business. Curbside pickup could be a great alternative to delivery and eating in and can be offered at all times to always give the customer an option. Omegas would greatly benefit by creating a website with the ability to order online, or allowing ordering through apps such as Doordash. Having a business website could draw in more customers and even offset the amount of front of the house staff to take phone orders.

With a new website and many new online options, it is vital that all of Omegas technology is completely up to date. They will need to have working and strong internet access in addition to registers and ordering platforms being up to date to keep a quick and efficient ordering process daily,

With the cold/flu season in swing, and with the higher count of cases of respiratory viruses particularly in children, increasing and retraining staff on sanitation and disinfecting could be beneficial. Extra sanitation will always be needed to ensure a clean space for food, employees, customers. Ensuring that tables are properly spaced and offering touchless pay are both ways that Omegas can help to prevent spread of germs. Omegas will need to take into account that the amount of time it will take for staff to properly sanitize before/after shifts and during and allot enough time for this and business operations when adjusting business hours. Added sanitation will add more tasks in a shift. The ability to order online, contactless delivery, and curbside pickup are also additions that can help with the spread of viruses.
