It is easiest to view several packages at one time by going to a brick and mortar store like a supermarket, big box store (Walmart) or even a department store, depending on the product type you select. Given that many of us are minimizing our outings, you may search online just make sure you look at a variety of products in the area you choose. Provide at least one image of the packaging you believe is innovative and at least one image of a competitive product that is not as innovative.
- What makes this packaging innovative or unique compared to the packaging for other similar products? Please identify as many factors as you can including color, design, the shape of the physical package or the materials used in the packaging itself. Of course, the copy (text) and use of logos and other images were used.
- What role does this package play in the marketing and sales of the product? (read the Packaging part in your book to remember functions of packaging and write the functions of packaging in a few sentences)
- Who do you think is the target market and tell me whether or not you believe the ad you are reviewing has been successful in attracting its target market.
