The word unfettered refers to anything without limits. An unfettered market means they would be able to make decisions as they see fit without restraints or nothing holding them back. The market would have unlimited options to incorporate any changes they so desire and no one will tell them that these changes are not allowed. There are some people that believe that an unfettered market effects the income of the society. A government intervention would basically stop the market from making all of these changes when they wish to. The market will no longer have the freedom to make changes within their business at their leisure. The government will come in a and make corrections based on the things they feel need corrected by coming up with certain policies and they would have to abide to these regulations or deal with the consequences. In my opinion, a government intervention would make things worse in the market. Once the government takes over the market that mean that everything will stay the same and the only changes would be when the government calls for them. The market will not be able to control their business as they see fit without the approval of the government. For example, there was just a terrorist attack seeking money which caused a shortage in out gas supply. Due to the limited supply of gas many gas stations increased the amount per gallon. In the event there is a government intervention businesses such as gas stations would not have the flexibility to make changes as the economy change. These changes could cause undo stress as they will have to answer to the government with every decision. Businesses will even have guidelines that they will have to abide to. This may cause a lot of businesses to go out of business because they will not be able to run their business and make changes as they see fit to keep the business afloat.
