1. Research and Development decreased from $31 million to $500,000, a 98% decrease the following year. Other than simply not having a project to work on an invest in, what would be the reason for the change

2. Bad Debt Expense decreased from over $1 million to $0, a 100% decrease the following year. My only thought was that this was an accounting error where expense was simply never written off. Is this correct or could there be another reason?

3. Income Tax Expense - Federal increased from $2 million to $9 million a 276% increase the following year. There is a drastic increase in investment income and miscellanous income reported which could explain the increase. Is there another possibility?
