2. Product and Process Design The objective of the company is to provide product and service to satisfy customers and create value for them. A product and service should be designed based on the customer requirement and feedback. Process design is where the product is broken down into parts before going to the actual manufacturing process.

In 2006, Microsoft released Zune to compete with Apple's iPod. On the surface, it looks much more stunning with beautiful interface and onscreen colours. Yet, the product was not a success. Why?
