SITUATION OVERVIEW: a.) Earthquake An earthquake of tectonic origin occurred at around 10:10AM, 22 February 2011 located at 14.12N, 120.40E-26 Km N 78W of Nasugbu, Batangas with magnitude of 4.7 (Ms) and 117 km depth of focus. Reported intensities were felt at the following areas: Intensity IV - Manila, Dasmarinas, Cavite Intensity III - Quezon City, Pasig City and Pasay City Intensity II --Looc, Lubang, Occidental Mindoro Intensity 1 - San Fernando, Pampanga No aftershocks and damages are expected b) Flashflood Incidents Misamis Oriental Province (Region X) On or about 5:00AM, 22 February 2011, a flashflood incident occurred in the municipalities of Lagonglong and Medina, due to continuous heavy rains that prevailed at the eastern part of the province About 60 families/300 persons were affected: 10 families/50 persons in Brgy. Cabug, Medina and 50 families/250 persons in Brgy. Dampil, Lagonglong. They are currently staying in the designated evacuation centers. Sarangani Province (Region XII) On or about 1:00AM, 22 February 2011, flashflood and whirlwind incidents occurred in Brgy. Pangyan and Brgy. Burias, Glan, Sarangani due to continuous heavy rains * One hundred three (103) families/515 persons were affected: 3 families/15 persons from Brgy Pangyan and 100 families/500 persons from Brgy Burias whose houses were either totally or partially damaged 2.
