2) Issues/behaviors that are considered 'deviant' do not become the 'norm' or acceptable overnight. It takes time, research, court cases, news articles, elections, etc. for these things to change. What is an example of an issue/topic/behavior that is currently living in the 'middle'?

For example, it used to be considered 'deviant' for African-Americans to read, women to wear pants, and children to go to school. Now, these are all things that we are in agreement of as being in the 'norm' - in fact, if you disagree with these things, you may be the one considered deviant! However, these issues that were once considered 'deviant' took time to change. What is an issue that is still currently considered 'deviant' by some, while the 'norm' by others that is still in the process of changing?
