1. Write a 350 word response to the article below.
"""""""" There are ways that groups and families are similar and different. Some ways are bigger than others and some of the rules that apply to families and groups are different. A group is a number of people who have some of the same interests and ideas that can work together to organize or accomplish a goal. These beliefs are stereotypes or prototypes: They describe the typical characteristics of people in various social groups and, more generally, how one group differs from another (the metacontrast principle (Griffith & Dunham, 2015). Groups majority of the time are not related nor do they have a close bond or relationship. These groups have leaders that are appointed to help make decisions or accomplish a goal that the group has set. In groups everyone also has a role to play and they make sure they keep that role in order to not step on other groups members toes.
Families on the other hand do not care to step on each members toes and their bond still remains the same. However, many times an individual may not have a relationship with their immediate family due to personal reasons. So, the group they belong to may become their family (Wiseman, 2008). A family has a leader as well and most of the time it is the father and his job is to be the head and structure for the household. The mother has a role to nurture to help the father in any way possible to keep the family together. Families are blood and even though they can stray or separate themselves they are still family and their bond is infinite.""""""""
