$$ Identify each type of power cable the system is using.

$2.$ For the motherboard, list the number and type of expansion slots on the board.

$$ Does the board have a $20-$pin or $24-$pin P$1$ connector?

$$ What other power connectors are on the board?

$$ How many memory slots does the board have?

$$ Locate the screws that attach the motherboard to the case.

$$ How many screws are used?

$$ Do you see screw holes in the motherboard that are not being used?

As a general rule of thumb, up to nine screws can be used to attach a motherboard to a case.

$3.$ For expansion cards, examine the ports on the back of the card.

$$ Can you determine the purpose of the card by looking at its ports? What type of slot does the card use?
