1.1 Read the vacancy below and answer the questions that follow: BOOKKEEPER REQUIRED - Date List - Jocation Requirements - Minimum 5 years' experience, with the ability to handle the full accounting function to Balance Sheet - Degree / Higher Diploma required in Accounting - The successful applicant must be fully computer literate, particularly in Excel and Pastel - Great Data Entry Skills - Excellent knowledge of Bookkeeping Principles - Must be able to hit the ground running Responsibilities - Maintain accurate accounting records on Pastel - Creditors/Debtors - GL capturing and posting correctly, including pre-payment journals and monthly provisions - Bank and cash-on-hand capturing and Reconciliations - Inventory Capturing - VAT calculation and monthly returns - Processing of payroll - Submission of the necessary monthly returns - Asset Management (especially depreciation) - Processing and Managing accounts payable including payroll runs - Invoices and Managing accounts receivable - Reconciliation of all Balance Sheet Accounts - Audits - attending to audit queries Must be available immediately.
