Question:
1.
A public opinion poll surveyed a simple random sample of 1000 voters. Respondents were classified by gender (male or female) and by voting preference (Republican, Democrat, or Independent). Results are shown in the contingency table below.
Voting Preferences | Row total
Republican | Democrat | Independent
Male | 200 | 150 | 50 | 400 |
Female | 250 | 300 | 50 | 600 |
Column total | 450 | 450 | 100 | 1000 |
Requirement
Develop hypothesis
Make decision and Conclude your result based on the following questions:
Is there a gender gap?
Do the men's voting preferences differ significantly from the women's preferences?
Use a 0.05 level of significance.
2. Correlation testing
The researches want to test the relationship between academic performance of students, short range planning, time attitude, long range planning and efficiency &effectiveness. To achieve the objective of the study the researchers have gathered data from 180 students and the result of correlation output is found in the following table.

** Correlation is significant at the 0.01 level (2 tailed).
** Correlation is significant at the 0.05 level (2 tailed).
The table above presents the result of the correlation analysis.
Requirements:
- Develop four hypotheses that show the relationship of two variables depending on the result in the table above.
- Interpret the relationship of all variables based on above results.
3. Multi regression analysis
The researches want to test the effects of short range planning, time attitude, long range planning and efficiency&effectiveness of students have effect on their academic performance. To achieve the objective of the study the researchers have gathered data from 180 students and the result of regression output is found in the following table.
