2 Section 2 -Scenario 2 Luke Li is a 32 year-old-male who emigrated with his family from Shanghai, China to Australia when he was five years old. He is married with three young children and is attending counselling for his issues with prescribed medication. Lukes addiction started when he was approximately 24 years old and was working in a pharmacy. He was struggling under the pressures of work, being newly married with a young child, as well as the pressure he felt from his extended family to support them financially. His family are unaware of his situation and he does not want them to know for fear of shaming the family. He does not know how he is going to face them if they find out. He is also very concerned about his finances as he has to support his wife and three children, along with his parents, uncle and aunty who live with his family. Luke asks Stuart, his counsellor, what will happen during the counselling sessions. Luke tells Stuart that he hopes he can fix his addiction to medication and help him with his finances. He also explains in tears that his family cannot find out about his circumstances because the shame will devastate them. Required Evidence
