The end line workers are primarily responsible for quality control and performance incentives are based on customer rejection. However, other workers will be rewarded through bonuses based on output their bonuses depend on the weight of packed chicken parts. Conflict arises between the processors and quality inspectors as the processors feel that the quality inspectors are too concerned about quality and a lot of parts are not packed because of poor quality. The inspectors on the other hand feel that the processors are not doing their job well.
