$3\mathrm{.}1$ Experiment $1$: Conveyer Belt

Objective

The objective of this experiment is to move the conveyer belts

i$.$ Pushing the limit switches to stop the conveyor belts

ii$.$ Pushing the limit switches to start the conveyor belts

DC Motors are used to move the conveyor belts.

The model should be designed using Altair Embed specifically using a finite state machine.

The Raspberry Pi should be connected to WiFi

Equipment

$2$ mechanical limit switches $($Normally Closed, NC$)$

$2$ DC motor conveyor belts

$1$ Raspberry PI $($type: $3$A$+)$

$1$ Raspberry Pi relay board

$1$ LCD screen

$1$ HDMI to HDMI cable

$2$ USB to Micro USB cables

Jumper wires

Method

i$.$ Determine the GPIOs used for the two limit switches and conveyer belts by referring to chapter $1\mathrm{.}3$: Connection of Devices to Raspberry Pi Pins

ii$.$ Determine the Embedded block that will be used for the TCP$/$IP connection between your computer and Raspberry Pi$.$

iii. Design the model for each condition stated in the Objective.

iv$.$ Print screen the model in Altair Embed and paste the two models separately below:

Objective

The objectives of this experiment are:

i$.$ to use the accelerometer in detecting the vibration of the motor.

ii$.$ to monitor the acceleration data in Altair Embed.

iii. to capture the acceleration data as a text file $(.$txt$).$

Method

i$.$ Determine the Embedded block that will be used for the TCP$/$IP connection between your computer and Raspberry Pi$.$

ii$.$ Design the model to monitor and capture the acceleration data as a CSV file $(.$csv$)$ using the "Altair Embed accelerometer model" provided by the tutor.

iii. Print screen the model in Altair Embed and paste it below:
