(30 points) Fault Tree Analysis

Consider the fault tree in Figure 2.

1) Use MOCUS to identify all the minimal cut sets of the fault tree. (10 points)

2) If the data of the basic events is NOT known, determine the criticality

sequence of the basic event by the qualitative analysis of the MCS. (5 points)

3) If the probability of each basic event is 0.05, calculate the exact and approximate probability of the TOP event T, respectively. And give the relative error between approximate value and exact value. (15 points)
