Ernie is a very likeable person. When he passed the electrical engineer's board exam with honors, he applied for a teaching job at a state university, where he earned a bachelor's degree. He and some former classmates were accepted by the university. Ernie loves teaching and was in the process of working when he completed his engineering doctorate studies. He was elected vice president of the National Institute of Electrical Engineers. Within a decade, he was named dean and vice-chancellor of the school. After twenty years of outstanding performance at work, he was appointed headmaster of his alma mater. It was not difficult for him to fulfill the duties of the Rector, since he had many years of association with the University, first as a student and later as a professor. Some of the professors who held important positions were his friends. His subordinates believed that he was not only respected in academia, but also fair and honest in his dealings with people. They support him in many activities and projects, including social affairs he sponsors. During his tenure, the university enjoyed a period of academic excellence. A few months after Ernie retired from college, he was elected Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. His position is equivalent to that of the CEO of a private company. His first month in office was very enthusiastic. Later, he discovered that running a council was not as easy as running a state university. Of the 200 members of the Council, no more than 30 regularly attend monthly meetings. Ernie is finding it difficult to increase the number of active members. He couldn't even get the numbers needed to attend autopsy services for deceased members. Ernie is now trying to figure out how to solve his problem.
