The design and layout of a supermarket, including the way merchandise is displayed within the various categories is key to the success of any supermarket. For your selected supermarket 

 Identify and assess the supermarket’s floor layout, 

 Select one staple food product category, and then provide suggestions on how the supermarket should display the merchandise within that category, 

 Recommend a control system for managing the inventory in the selected food category. 

One (1) mark will be awarded for correctly identifying the supermarket layout design. 

Two (2) marks will be awarded for explaining the supermarket layout. 

Three (3) marks will be awarded for assessing the supermarket layout. 

Four (4) marks will be awarded for assessing how the shelf space is allocated to the selected product category. 

Five (5) marks will be awarded for suggestions on how to position the merchandise in the selected product category. 

Five (5) marks will be awarded for explaining inventory control of the selected food product category. 

Five (5) marks will be awarded for recommending a suitable inventory control system for the selected food product category
