Locate the centroid $\stackrel{}{x}\frac{,}{b}ar(y)$ of the shaded area by

the method of integration.

Hint: A few ways to try this! You can still do vertical

strips $($but from $y_1$ to $4,$ rather than from $0$ to $y_2$

like in class $20),$ or just rotate the picture to

make it look more like we did in class.

Remember the centroid is the center of gravity, which physically doesn't change just

because you look at something "sideways".
