A $15-20$ page $($typed$,$ double$-$spaced$)$ written report by your group. This report should examine an industry in the context of the material that we have studied in the course. An excellent basis for any study of an industry is contained in Chapter $1$ and Appendix B of Michael Porter$$s Competitive Strategy: Techniques for Analyzing Industries and Competitors: With a New Introduction $($In the library$).$ Porter discusses five competitive forces at work in an industry: $(1)$ threat of entry; $(2)$ intensity of rivalry among existing competitors; $(3)$ pressure from substitute products; $(4)$ bargaining power of buyers; and $(5)$ bargaining power of suppliers. I HIGHLY recommend that you read this chapter before beginning the project.
