Question: A 2 8 5 cm high masonry column with a square ( 2 9 0 mm ) cross - section is designed to be built

A 285 cm high masonry column with a square (290 mm) cross-section is
designed to be built of DOT/8 solid bricks and B1 cement mortar to
support 20 kN axial vertical load. However, due to some architectural
constraints it is decided that the dimension of the square crosssection should be reduced to 190 mm.
Is the design adequate with the revised dimensions for the column?
If not, what should be done, so that the factor of safety will not
change? Use Graf formula with medium workmanship. Assume 1 kg =
10 N
