- A. B. C. D. E.	Shannon is in a study with other individuals to see if taking a drug called Passquine causes a greater relief in their anxiety than Zoloft. She is in a study where she will take on drug for 7 months and then switch to the other. Although this is not the typical research approach, all of this is under the guidance of a medical and mental health professional.
- A. B. C. D. E.	Reshard is collecting observing children play with various toys in his lab. He is watching their play patterns and trends and plans to compare it to behavior he observes when interacting with other children.
- A. B. C. D. E.	Dr. Banal, a Psychiatrist, has a client who is experiencing symptoms not collectively consistent with any documented medical or mental disorder in the literature. Dr. Banal has decided to document the symptoms and sessions with extreme detail, with the clients permission, to try and figure out what is going on. They will publish this in a scientific journal.
- A. B. C. D. E.	Richard and Akbeni are participants in a research study. They are going to be randomly assigned to one of two groups with other participants. One of them will be in Group A and the other will be in Group B.
- A. B. C. D. E.	Elaine is interested in the relationship of child rearing approaches of parents and spanking. She received informed consent from mother-child dyads and had them complete a number of questionnaires. For her study, she is running a simple regression to test the statistical significance of the relationship between the parenting practices survey the mothers completed and the recollection of spanking incidences the children took.
