A business intelligence (BI) plan, or roadmap, is derived from data sets encompassing a multitude of factors in a healthcare organization. The BI plan, with data mining and statistics, measures a healthcare organization's performance and seeks to determine the organization's competitive advantage among a service demographic, such as cardiac care, orthopedic care, renal care, and long-term care.
