A clay deposit was formed by sedimentation at the bottom of a lake. Today the water level remains on the ground surface for most of the year, only occasionally
dropping to 3m below the surface. Consolidation tests of withdrawn samples of 5 m and of 10m deep indicated that the clay deposit is normally consolidated.

From 1m and 3m samples taken. deep were molded bodies of test subjected to triaxial compression tests, indicated in the table, with the results also indicated there.
