One of the causes of delay is related to the responsibility of the Contractor while the other is a result of some fault of the engineer hired by the client. Is there an entitlement to an extension of time and loss and expense? (8 marks) The actual completion date of a construction project is six month beyond the contractual completion date. Due to the late completion of the project the contractor had requested extension of time. However, dispute arises on the amount of extension of time which should be granted. Is the employment of a computer-based critical path analysis essential to establish the true entitlement? (8 marks) c) A Sub-contractor is falling behind programme and in danger of completing late because of his own inefficiencies.
