Imagine that you have a large box containing 4 identical coins. With the lid on the box, you give it a really good long and hard shake, so that you can hear the coins flipping, rattling and being generally tossed around. Now you open the lid and look inside the box. Some of the coins will be lying with heads facing up and some with tails facing up. There are lots of possible configurations that we can achieve.
