A key element of programming is to understand the problem you are trying to solve. When working with customers (external or internal to your company) they are often limited by their understanding of programming in communicating their needs. They may only be able to do so at a very high level, or by telling you the problem they are having. It is the programmers job to define what they are looking for, even if it means telling the customer what their needs are. This is where the importance of defining software requirements come into play. In this weeks discussion, discuss the importance of software requirements and the different ways to determine requirements.
