Question:
A library loans out items: books, DVD/Blu-ray disks, CDs. Patrons are library customers who borrow items. A patron checks on-line if an item (or multiple items) is available at their local library. If not then they put a hold on the items. If yes, they go to the library. If they have any items to return then they will place them in the returns box. They get the items they want from the shelves and take them to the librarian. If they had items on hold then they wait for arrival confirmation. When they receive it they go to the library and ask the librarian for the hold items. The librarian picks the items from the shelf so that they can be checked out. The checkout process works as follows: The librarian IDs the patron and then checks if there are any late fees. If so then the patron has to pay the late fees. If not then the librarian checks if there are any late items. If so then the patron has to return those items. If there are no late items then the librarian checks out the items and hands them to the patron. The items that are returned have to be returned to the shelves by the item stocker. This person takes the items out of the returns box and sorts them onto carts by the different library areas. If a cart is full then the item stocker takes it to the shelves and places the items there.
