A pillar crane shown in Figure $(3)$ is fastened to the concrete base by means of four foundation bolts. Two arrangements as shown in plans $($a$)$ and $($b$)$ are possible and the bolts are equally spaced on bolt circle diameter of $800$ mm and the diameter of the flange of the crane is $1000$ mm$.$ Determine the size of the bolts in both $($a$)$ and $($b$).$ What will be your choice of either arrangement?Figure $(3)$
