A Survey was administered to 25,149 middle school and high school students to assess national trends in tobacco product use. A total of 20,413 students completed the survey. Their responses were weighted to represent the approximately 27.56 million middle and high school students in the United States. The weighted survey responses suggested 5.22 million high school students and 1.34 million middle school students reported ever using a tobacco product.
