A W$33$x$241$ is required as a beam for a certain clearing, but due to a strike on the laminator, this profile cannot be obtained in time; however, a W$33$x$118$ is available along with a good amount of plates. Select $7/8$ plg plate covers to weld them to the skates of the W$33$x$118$ so that a satisfactory section is obtained like the original beam, consider the resistance by bending and deflection. Use A$-36$ steel and ASD specifications.
