Question:
According to Chapter 1, globalization can have both positive and negative effects on jobs and wages, economic inequality, culture, national sovereignty, and the environment. Therefore, there are always critics and proponents on opposing sides of the globalization debate. Typically, each side of the argument has valid grounds in support of or against globalization.
In the textbook the authors demonstrate how to summarize and reconcile a globalization debate on jobs and wages (p. 22). Unfortunately, they did not provide a similar summary for income inequality, culture, national sovereignty, or the environment:
1) Choose one aspect of the globalization debate to discuss (income inequality, culture, national sovereignty, or the environment)?
2) Review the materials in the textbook that pertain to the debate regarding your chosen aspect?
