According to the article $$Data$,$ Information, Knowledge, and Wisdom$,$ data consists of symbols lacking meaning or value without context and interpretation. Data can take different forms like text, numbers, images, or signs, such as sales invoices, YouTube views, and so on$.$ Information, on the other hand, is data that has been processed and interpreted in a meaningful way, answering questions like "who," "what," "where," and "when." Knowledge is a combination of data and information, providing an understanding of how to use them effectively. Wisdom is accumulated knowledge, allowing one to act critically and practically in any given situation $($Baskarada$,2013).$

To show my understanding of the connection between data, information, knowledge, and wisdom, I will provide a simple example:

Think of a kid learning math like learning a new language. At first, all the numbers and symbols $($data$)$ in the math book do not make sense to him $$ it is like trying to read a book without knowing the alphabet. But as he learns, those symbols start to mean something $-$ like realizing that $2+2$ equals $4.$

The process of understanding what numbers mean is turning data into information. Once he has understood it enough to remember it easily, that is knowledge. Having this knowledge, he can apply and use it practically, which is wisdom. Let's say he goes out with friends and sees that he has pocket money; he can use his math knowledge to figure out what he can or cannot buy and make smart choices.
