A lot of the content in CTE can be connected to general education curricula. One strategy to spread awareness to others in your building and add value for students is to work across departments on instructional units. The purpose of this assignment is to have you begin thinking about ways that you can extend the experiences of your students.
To start, identify a course and a unit OR objective in a unit. Next, identify a content area that is a perfect match to extend instruction for this essential standard (math, science, another CTE field, etc.)
Now that you have done those things, use the rubric provided to construct your business letter to a teacher of that subject suggesting a partnership. Be sure to provide justification as to why this is beneficial to all parties involved.
