You are a Human Resource Analyst, reporting to the VP of Human Resources of a large retail company (called MPS)-5000 employees spread across five states and 15 stores, each with a Store Manager. The CEO has begun to hear of some bad employee Interactions occurring around the upcoming elections and has begun to be concerned about potential incidents related to the election. Some of these have occurred because of T-shirts or hats supporting different candidates that employees have been wearing to work. Recently, there was some fall-out from the store s communication around disagreements over police brutality and protocol issues and where the store stood on Police funding initiatives. To her amazement, the organization had no policies regulating political behavior in the workplace. The customer service representatives are unionized and comprise a quarter of the organization.
