Acing a virtual JoD interview.

This activity is important because many companies, out of necessity or convenience, are using virtual job interviews to screen candidates. Your ability to plan for an interview in a virtual environment will be key to your success in these types of interviews.

The goal of this exercise is for you to demonstrate your understanding of factors that you need to plan for when interviewing virtually.

Assume that you need to participate in a virtual job interview. Read the description of each strategy for participating in a virtual job interview. If the strategy is good practice, select "Good Strategy. If the strategy is not ideal or definitely bad, select "Bad Strategy."

Check your computer video and microphone the day before the interview.

Download the interview platform $15$ minutes before the interview so that you have a current test of whether it works.

Attempt to make eye contact with the interviewer.

Use dim lighting to hide the background of your room and ensure that you are easily visible on the screen.
